Devices vs connections: how many screens do you really get?

You can install one IPTV subscription on as many devices as you like — the limit is how many screens stream at the same time. That number is what you choose when you pick a plan: Solo runs one screen, Duo two, Famille three. Everything confusing about "how many devices" comes from mixing up those two ideas, so here is the difference in plain terms.

TL;DR
  • Unlimited installs. Put the app on the TV, a stick, phones and a laptop — no device count.
  • Limited simultaneous streams. Solo 1 · Duo 2 · Famille 3 at any one moment.
  • Count the people, not the gadgets. How many screens run at 9 pm on a busy evening is the only number that matters.

Installs and connections are two different things

Your subscription is a login — a username and password, or an M3U/Xtream line. You can enter that login into any number of apps and boxes, exactly as you would sign into an email account on several machines. Nobody counts the installs, and there is no activation limit to burn through when you replace a TV or add a tablet.

A connection is different. It is one live stream being pulled from the server at a given second. That is the resource a plan is actually selling, because that is what costs bandwidth. So the honest way to phrase the question isn’t "how many devices can I use?" but "how many people in this house will be watching at the same time?" — usually a much smaller number than the pile of screens you own.

What each plan gives you

Solo1€59One viewer, or a couple who always watch together
Duo2€89Couples with different taste; TV plus a bedroom
Famille3€115Families — living room, kids’ room and a phone

Bigger household, or a household split across two addresses? The multi-connection page explains how 4–5 screens are arranged, and full prices sit on the pricing page.

Most homes over-buy. Four TVs in a house rarely means four streams at once. Think about a normal Tuesday evening: if it’s you on the sofa and one child upstairs, two connections is the honest answer, and you can always upgrade mid-term for the difference.

What happens when you go over the limit

Nothing dramatic. The extra screen either shows a connection error or knocks the earlier stream offline — depending on the app — and everything returns to normal the moment one player is closed. It isn’t a strike against your account. The one thing to avoid is sharing your login outside the household: you can’t see who else is streaming, and the mystery drop-outs will look exactly like a server fault.

A related trap: players left running. A stick that was never switched off still holds a connection open, so the "third screen" you thought was free may be a paused channel in an empty bedroom. If streams fail for no reason, close every app before blaming the plan.

Working out the number you need

  1. Picture your busiest evening — not the total device count, but how many people genuinely watch different things simultaneously.
  2. Add one only if the pattern repeats — a guest room used twice a year doesn’t justify a bigger plan; a teenager who watches every night does.
  3. Check your line can carry it — each HD stream wants roughly 10 Mbps and each 4K stream about 25, so three screens need real headroom. Our speed guide has the numbers.
  4. Start smaller and upgrade — moving up a plan mid-subscription costs only the difference, and your login stays the same.

Which devices count

Any device running a compatible player uses one connection while it streams, and none while it sits idle. In practice that means:

  • Smart TVs, sticks and boxes — the main screens in the house; see the device comparison if you’re still choosing one.
  • Phones and tablets — handy, and the usual "hidden" third stream in a family.
  • Laptops and desktops — a browser or desktop player counts exactly like a TV.
  • A device you took away with you — a stick in your suitcase still draws on the same limit, as our holiday guide explains.

Moving your subscription onto a new box doesn’t use up anything either — the transfer guide walks through entering the same login elsewhere. If the extra screens are for children, pair the plan with parental controls so the kids’ device only shows the categories you allow.

Frequently asked questions

How many devices can I install my IPTV subscription on?

As many as you want. The app can sit on the living-room TV, a bedroom stick, two phones and a laptop at once. What the plan limits is how many of those screens play a stream at the same moment — one on Solo, two on Duo, three on Famille.

What happens if too many screens stream at once?

The extra screen simply refuses to start, or the one that was already playing drops out. Nothing is banned or blocked permanently — stop one stream and the other works again immediately. It is a queue, not a penalty.

Can two people watch different channels at the same time?

Yes, as long as your plan covers that many connections. Each stream is fully independent: the match in the living room and cartoons in the kids’ room run side by side with no shared quality loss, bandwidth permitting.

Can I upgrade if I need more screens later?

Yes. Message us on WhatsApp and we move you to the next plan, paying only the difference for the time remaining. You keep the same login, so nothing has to be reinstalled on your devices.

Do devices in different homes count against the limit?

They do — the limit is counted per subscription, not per address. Two homes streaming at the same time need at least two connections. Tell us your setup and we will say honestly which plan fits.

✓ The bottom line

Install on everything you own; pay for the number of screens that actually run at once. For most single viewers Solo is enough, couples land on Duo, and families take Famille. If you’re unsure, start lower — upgrading later costs only the difference, and the multi-connection page covers anything above three.
